The Windsurfing 4 Cancer Research (W4CR) charity was formed to promote cancer awareness among fellow windsurfers and, through specific projects, raise funds for cancer research, education and support

W4CR aims to educate the public (through the windsurfing fraternity) with both web site updates about cancer symptom/treatments/reports and regular newsletters to a data base of sailors who participate in events. Not only does the charity aim to give advisory and financial support to individuals/groups suffering with cancer it also intends to give grants to cancer research and other cancer charities.

W4CR will publicise the benefits and achievements derived from the funds raised.

W4CR will continuously raise funds to finance the above but it intends organising a major, sponsored, annual sailing event.
