National Windsurfing Week 1st - 8th May 2011

The ‘Sunrise to Sunset' fundraiser for the charity ‘Windsurfing for Cancer Research' has been a popular way to get involved with NWW. Held this year on 01 May, the fundraiser encourages entrants to spend a full day out on the water. Since 2008 NWW and W4CR have been closely linked and this year the sunrise to sunset challenge is open to windsurfers across the country with many new schools and windsurfing hotspots already signed up.

NICK DEMPSEY LAUNCHES NATIONAL WINDSURFING WEEK 2011

Olympic bronze medallist and Team Volvo for life sailor, RS:X windsurfer Nick Dempsey encouraged people to dust off their boards and get out on the water for the event which brings the whole windsurfing community together, National Windsurfing Week 2011 (NWW).

We're still building the national picture of events taking place in 2011, so keep checking back to see which venues have registered since you last looked. If you have never windsurfed before, then there should be plenty of opportunities to have a go. If you already windsurf, then join in the fun that's planned at your local venue.
