With all the sports and pass times available to do these days the choice as to what sport to partake in is a pretty confusing one. National Windsurfing Week will give windsurfing a voice. It’s the true voice of the sport as well as it’s organised by the very people that do the sport for fun - organised by windsurfers for windsurfers. There’s no corporate sponsorship to muddy the message - It’s windsurfing for windsurfings sake - the best sport in the world

Description

Rye Watersports is based on an inland lake on the South East Coast. It's only one hour from south London, in an idyllic situation near Camber Sands. The Kent and Sussex coast for sea based windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons is only minutes away. This large coastal lake in Southern England is the perfect location to learn watersports.

The school was set up in 1986 to run windsurfing lessons and sailing courses; with constant winds straight off the sea, or from the vast expanse of the Romney Marshes, it quickly became known as the premier windsurfing and sailing centre in the South of England. Over the summer months when inland lakes are becalmed we're blasting in sea breezes.  It’s not only us that know the wind always blows here... check out the wind farm on the marshes just behind our centre.

Kitesurfing and Windsurfing on the South Coast offers varied conditions, but the shallow waters at Cambers Sands provide perfect conditions for lessons, beginners and experts alike.

Our BKSA Kitesurfing School opened in 2002. Because of our detailed knowledge of the Kent and Sussex coast, and team of experienced BKSA kite instructors, we feel we offer the very best kitesurfing lessons in the South East.

Informal and friendly, our centre is the hub of all our activities. Chill out on the decking after a days kitesurfing, windsurfing or sailing, with refreshments from Windy Daze Café. We are always on hand to give tips and advice!

With the golden beaches of Camber Sands only minutes away, our beautiful lake location, and the Medieval town of Rye nearby, we feel we have everything to offer.

AALA certified authorising to give kitesurfing/windsurfing/sailing lessons to children under 18
